Meet Kegan
Kegan Bower
Massage and Bodywork Therapist
Hi, my name is Kegan Bower and I have been a Massage and Bodywork Therapist for over 10 years. I graduated from the Bio-Chi Institute of Massage Therapy in Sioux City, Iowa in 2008 and moved to Colorado in 2009. Since then I have been focusing my practice on helping clients reduce pain and improve overall health and wellness. I primarily practice Musculo-Tendonal-Re Education or MTR. MTR is a therapeutic form of massage and bodywork. Treating chronic pain and improving posture have been my main practice goal over the years but I am trained in several modalities. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about massage and bodywork and what the best treatment options are for you.
Therapeutic Massage/ MTR
This form of therapy involves static hands-on techniques to decrease tension, improve muscle function, promote improved posture, and many other benefits. MTR works by assessing the health of an area, then directly treating tightness, weakness and compensations in the body’s soft tissues. Unlike a traditional massage that can focus on many areas, this treatment focuses on a specific area of dysfunction. If someone has chronic pain, headaches or they have been injured and have muscle and/or nerve damage, or want to improve overall muscle function, MTR is worth exploring. Here are some other benefits of this bodywork therapy.
Meet Ryan
Ryan Ronnebaum
Chiropractic Care
Dr. Ryan Ronnebaum graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2010. Upon graduation, he moved to Colorado and has been working in the Denver area for the past 10 years. Dr. Ronnebaum utilizes gentle adjusting techniques and trigger point therapy to properly address joint and muscular dysfunction. He works with a wide variety of clients including office workers, athletes, expecting
mothers, and children. His goal in treatment is to reduce chemical and physical stresses that are
preventing that body from performing at its full potential. To complement the chiropractic adjustment, he provides postural balancing exercises and nutritional recommendations to create improved stability moving forward. Dr. Ronnebaum has additional training in extremity adjusting protocols and soft tissue cranial therapy.
About Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects these disorders have on general health. Doctors of chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands on approach to healthcare that includes patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as provide nutritional, and lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as the “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of
an adjustment is to restore joint mobility by applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted as a result of tissue injury. These joint restrictions are commonly referred to as subluxations. A subluxation can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as lifting a heavy object, or repetitive stresses, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor posture for an extended period of time. In either case,
restricted movement in the joint space causes physical and chemical changes in the surrounding tissues that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function. A chiropractic adjustment to affected joint restores mobility, therefore alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal. The most
common complaints that chiropractors treat include back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. However, reducing stress in the tissues can also be helpful in treating conditions such as fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, indigestion, asthma, and high blood pressure.
